How do greenspace landscapes affect PM2.5 exposure in Wuhan? Linking spatial-nonstationary, annual varying, and multiscale perspectives

چکیده

As an ambient atmospheric pollutant, fine particulate matter (PM2.5) has posed significant adverse impacts on public health around the world. To attenuate population exposure risk to PM2.5 pollution, greenspace been considered as a promising approach. Little is known, however, about attenuating of landscapes risks at various locations, scales, and levels. This study employed hotspot analysis, weighted barycenter, time-series clustering investigate spatiotemporal dynamics across Wuhan. In addition, multi-scale geographically regression (MGWR) was used determine relationships between landscape patterns yearly over four years (2000, 2005, 2010, 2015). Results revealed that, 2000 2016, variations in coverages within Wuhan showed inverse U-shape trend. The K-DTW differentiated area into seven spatial clusters with homogeneous temporal dynamics. general, there were three stages fluctuations Wuhan: 2000–2005, 2006–2011, 2012–2016. MGWR also disclosed associations parameters (AI, ED, SI, PLAND). PLAND green spaces can mitigate broader scale (the average bandwidth 1391), while AI, SI are generally associated reduction local scales. Wuhan, we confirmed such metrics varying levels risks. results indicate that attenuation effectiveness toward by not only site- scale-dependent but affected findings this contribute planning management for mitigating PM2.5-attributable impacts.

How do Sudden Stops of Capital Flows Affect Currency Crises in Asia?

Sudden stops can be characterized by sharp reversals in capital inflows, large declines in output, and steep collapses in real asset prices (Mendoza and Smith, 2009). In almost all recent crises, capital account reversals amounting to more than 10% of an afflicted country’s GDP have occurred (Calvo and Reinhart, 1999 and Nabli, 1999). More specifically, reversals in capital flows to emergin...

PERSPECTIVES IN ESTUARINE AND COASTAL SCIENCE Linking Restoration Ecology and Ecological Restoration in Estuarine Landscapes

More than ever, there is a need to integrate restoration ecology, as practiced by the scientific community, and ecological restoration, a province that is largely, but not entirely the purview of practitioners. Success in some coastal restoration projects is increasingly measured in the context of practioner skills and cultural goals rather than by the manifestation of underlying ecological pri...

Does whole body exposure to GSM-950 MHz electromagnetic fields affect acquisition and consolidation of spatial information in rats?

Background: This study was planned to examine the effects of whole-body exposure to GSM-950 MHz electromagnetic fields (EMFs) on acquisition and consolidation of spatial memory in rats using a water maze task. Materials and Methods: In experiment 1, the animals were given two blocks of five trials per day for three consecutive days in a water maze task. The interval between blocks was 4h...
